My name is Veronica Andam, a proud entrepreneur in the beauty and cosmetics industry with the help of STAR Women through the Cash Skills Training.

I previously worked as a factory hand at a manufacturing company. When I learned about the Cash Skills Training Program, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to begin my journey toward starting my own business.

Through the program, I gained practical skills in graphic design, including creating flyers and logos. These skills will be invaluable as I am able to design my own marketing materials. During the training, the Thursday Talks Series also enhanced my understanding of budgeting, photography, and company registration, helping me lay a solid foundation for starting my business.

My business idea involved conducting thorough market research to identify my target audience, whether for bridal makeup, special events, or editorial makeup. I assess customer needs and stay updated with trends to ensure my services remain in demand.

One of the most impactful lessons I learned at STAR Women is that it is wise to avoid taking loans at the startup stage. I also took to heart the importance of not being afraid of a fresh start if things don’t go as planned.

With the experiences and insights I got, I feel confident and empowered to give my all in building my  business.
